Olá, o meu nome é Inês Assis
Vivo na Graça, em Lisboa, com os meus três filhos e o nosso gato Shifú. Tenho sol, lua e ascendente em Leão. Tanto fogo resulta numa imensa criatividade que mais recentemente se tem manifestado na pintura.
// Hello, my name is Inês Assis
I live in Graça, in Lisbon, with my three children and our cat Shifú. I have sun, moon and ascendant in Leo. So much fire results in an immense creativity that more recently have manifested itself in painting.
Sou licenciada em Design de Comunicação e fiz o Mestrado em Teoria da Cultura Visual, pelo IADE. Nos últimos 17 anos tenho trabalhado como designer gráfica, web e editorial, tanto em agências como em regime freelancer. As artes plásticas estão presentes na minha vida desde sempre, por ter um pai artista plástico e professor de artes com quem aprendi muito, uma avó também pintora e uma tia-avó que com 96 anos ainda hoje dá aulas de artes.
// I have a degree in Graphic Design and a Master's degree in Visual Culture Theory from IADE. For the last 17 years I have worked as a graphic, web and editorial designer, both in agencies and on a freelance basis. The visual arts have always been present in my life, having a father who is an artist and art teacher from whom I learned a lot, a grandmother who was also a painter and a great-aunt who, at 96 years old, still teaches art classes today.
Embora o gosto pela pintura esteja presente desde sempre, só recentemente, em Janeiro de 2023, tive a coragem de mostrar o meu trabalho ao mundo. Fiz a minha primeira exposição individual com 20 trabalhos expostos na Fábrica do Braço de Prata, em Lisboa. Foi ao mesmo tempo uma bonita celebração que contou com a presença de cerca de 150 pessoas.
// Although the love for painting has always been present, only recently, in January 2023, I had the courage to show my work to the world. I had my first solo exhibition with 20 works exhibited at Fábrica do Braço de Prata, in Lisbon. It was at the same time a beautiful celebration, around 150 people were present.
Ainda em 2023 participei em duas edições da feiras de artes "Ambulante" a convite das Galerias de Loures, fiz uma exposição individual em Novembro intitulada "Expansão" que teve lugar no Atelier da Graça em Lisboa, e participei na exposição coletiva "12x12" que teve lugar no Mercado de Santa Clara. Neste momento continuo com o meu trabalho de designer freelancer , e tenho investido cada vez mais o meu tempo na pintura.
// Still in 2023, I participated in two editions of the "Ambulante" art fair by invitation of Galerias de Loures, I had a solo exhibition in November entitled "Expansão" which took place at Atelier da Graça in Lisbon, and I participated in the collective exhibition "12x12" which took place at the Santa Clara Market. At the moment I continue with my work as a freelance designer, and I have been investing more and more of my time in painting.
